How to create Character Profile (be sure to read)

1. You can have two characters. One of them can be normal human (like Kio or Yuiko).

2. Create new thread, named from your true name and position (for example: "SILENCE sacrifice") and put in it your character profile.

3. Please, don't involve your characters with characters from manga and anime. Don't make Ritsuka your brother, Soubi your lover, Ritsu your father etc. Only thing is knowing Ritsu or 7-chan from Seven Moons Academy, but try to avoid having strong bonds with them.

4. Add picture of your character to Character Profile sheet. It can be the same as in your avatar.

5. Remember - CHARACTER PROFILE is to describe character you will be playing. Your USER PROFILE is to put there information about yourself, not your character.

After you create your character, your topic will stay open for about 24 hours - if you want to change something do it during that time. After that I'll lock topic and put link in it. Link is connected to topic in "Get to know" section. In that thread you can chat about your character.
If you want change something in your character profile after I locked it send pm to me or one of MODs. We will open it for one day and then close it again.

One thing you need to know - you don't need to have partner to participate in RP. You can either be completely alone, or you can have pair, but not registered on this forum, still, RP is open for you.

HOW TO MAKE A CHARACTER PROFILE

What is a character profile? It is a short, but detailed biography on your character. You tell the other members about your character - appearance, personality, history, etc. - in this post. Look at it like you’re trying to sell a product you really like to one of your friends while comparing it to the current product they buy. You’ll tell them why this product is so good, now, remember, it has to be convincing, so you get into some of the details and explain the ingredients, how it’s made and what it does.

Apply that to your character. What makes up your character? Does your character hate life or maybe doesn’t believe love exists? Maybe he or she is beyond bubbly and absolutely loves life? What made them that way? Well, you have his or her entire history to go through. Did his or her parents abuse him or her? Did his or her heart get broken over and over by the scum he or she dated? Was life absolutely perfect and he or she got everything handed to him or her on a silver platter? Maybe your character is idealistic or looks at everything logically. I don’t know, so it is your job to tell me.

Those are optional and if there is anything else you want to add, you may.

Name: Every Character has to have a name. You have to think of a good name for your character which represents them and their personality. If you want a meaning to their name would be nice but it is not necessary only optional.

True Name: You must really think about your name and not choose something random. It must be a part of you or something you wish you never had. Of course, those characters who are normal people don't need this in their profile.

Age: It is necessary to have your characters' age posted because we need to know where they stand. We don't want to place them in something outside of their age range and I'm not talking about a being underage at a bar either. Like you your characters can also have a job here in this world and certain jobs have an age limit so be mindful of it. Play the age that you post!! DO NOT POST A FAKE AGE AND PLAY AS ANOTHER! Lying to us and others is not a cool thing to do and it will cost you a penalty so be mindful of what you put.

Occupation: This is straightforward. Simply state if your character is a student or has a job. If your character is a student, write what year he or she is in. If your character has a job, write what the profession is.

Rai stands at five feet, eleven inches with dark brown hair and gray eyes. The teen is self described ‘average’ in looks and body type, though Rai will admit to having a slightly more oval face and squinty eyes. His skin tone comes in two colors: white and burnt. Since he prefers the former Rai typically stays out of the sun, even though he loves sunny weather.
Out of habit he’ll normal wear his hair in his face - accompanied with a hat if it is cold enough - and glasses. The only exception to this look is when he is fighting. Once engaged, he’ll shed all unnecessary items. Even in cold weather, the fighter has been known to battle in just a shirt and pants.
As far a style goes, Rai isn’t very particular. Most of his clothing was preowned by Seven Moons alumni. As long as it is wearable and comfortable, it’s good. He, however, is partial to shirts with English gibberish and hats of all kinds. His favorite hat is a black, slightly worn ushanka.
Rai is still a neko, with dark brown ears and a short tail. They are marked with a forking black stripe.

If you have difficulty writing an appearance in that style, you may use the list style, but you’ll have to make up for it in the rest of your profile.

Personality: This is always a tough section. Don’t simply list your character’s personality traits, tell us what makes his personality that way. Is he a complete ditz and clumsy? Maybe he had a brain injury when he was a child or that’s how he shuts out all the unfortunate events in his life. Does she get angry easily? Tell us why.

Nori is cold and distant, and avoids connecting with others. There are only a handful that have been able to break her protective barrier, but completely trusting them will always be an issue. The only person she has faith in is her brother, Ichiro. He was in a coma for 7 years, the most important part of her childhood, but he is the only one she will open up to. Since he woke up, he had always been there to protect her.

A daydreamer, playing in a world where the grass really is greener and the sun always shines, where innocence still exists. A place she never knew. She knows nothing lasts forever; she experienced it time and time again, but Akira has unintentionally made her go against everything she believes. He brought meaning to her life, made her feel again, but love is a frightening devise and to love him would surely mean to lose him. The one thing she is not willing to do.

Likes & Dislikes: This is also straightforward. Simply list what your character does and doesn't like.

Background: This is probably the most important part of your character profile and the most detailed. You will have to tell us about the history of your character starting from early childhood to now. Tell us about her family and/or any other important influences in his life. You’ll also have to take into consideration “cause and effect.” This means, if something happened to your character, what changes did it bring forward? Did he learn to live his life better or did he become the sum of the earth? No one knows except you.

Something else to take in consideration is: there is no such thing as a perfect life. If your character grew up in a loving environment where everything was handed to him on a silver platter, on top of that, his family owned a wealthy conglomerate, it doesn’t mean he will also be perfect. He could be the most rotten, bratty person on the face of the earth and expect everyone to treat him the same way. Or maybe he was really into drugs and drinking so his family disowned him. Remember, this is all from your imagination and creativity, so let your mind wander.

I grew up on an island which I am still unsure about its' name. I was raised by loving parents until my mother was killed and my dad was exiled. Due to my parents being part of a special organization everything was kept a secret. Their job was very dangerous and quite frightening at time to be honest. My mother, I was told later, was killed when I was 5 while she was on duty. My father tried to save her but he got there too late. My father raised me by himself until I turned 10. Once the organization found out about my father haboring secrets from them they exiled him from the group and the island. The organization raised me the rest of the way until I turned 18 and I decided to leave the island. Since then I have been using art as a way to express myself and show others how I feel since I denied to speak. I live in an apartment alone currently and trying to stay away from people who constantly follow me. My training as a martial arts fighter has helped me to remain strong but I am also a SpellFighter. So I am great with spells and without them. I went to 7 Moons Academy for a very short time because Ritsu sent me to study at another school for some sort of specialty training. I was told that those who went to this special torture school usually don't succeed and wind-up dying there but I made it somehow and if Ritsu found out about it he may try to keep me as his puppet. Now that I have graduated and such I am very weary about my presence being made known to him at least so I travel no where near the school.

Optional categories:
Other – you can write whatever you like here about your character, but it shouldn’t pertain to any of the other categories.
Nickname – if your character has a nickname, this category should be placed after the “Name” category.
Birthday – if you decide to use this category, it should go before or after the “Age” category.
Ethnicity – if you add this, you can either put it in with the description of your character’s appearance or add it before or after the “Appearance” category.
Sexuality – this could go with all the basic information or you could even use the “Other” category for this.


I hope this has helped you. If you need further assistance, don’t hesitate to take a peek at the approved profiles for examples or ask a MOD for help. Just remember not to steal any of the ideas from other members. You are to only use them to get an idea of how to write a profile. If you do steal someone’s idea, we’ll know and you’ll be required to change it or possible banned.

Everything stated above does not pertain to your user profile. Your user profile (the information you fill out on the forum under “Profile”) should be about you. That way, if another member is curious about you, they can always look under your profile. Remember not to share anything too important. If you are uncomfortable sharing your age and birthday, change the options in your profile so it will not display. Also, if you worried about anyone having your e-mail, the only person on the forum that can send you anything is the Admin – MajoNeko. She will only use it to send announcements and/or the monthly newsletter. You will also receive notification on thread replies and private messages, which are automatically sent from the forum. You can turn the e-mail notifications off in your user profile by going under “Settings” and changing those options.
