Sitting Outside School [Ended]

The school building standed high in front of him, all of the schools he had ever attended too were too big for his taste, but he didn’t complain, he always found a way to adjust and survive. He walked through the big gates, being a little surprised by the amount of people inside the campus of the school. Everyone seemed so focused on their own lives, talking only with their friends or walking really fast towards the main building, he felt somehow small, surrounded by strangers. He sited on a bench, looking at people pass by without noticing the surroundings, everyone was in such a hurry Naoya himself felt a little rushed, even though he was half and hour earlier. He liked to slow down sometimes, the world always pushed people to live fast, for him it was better when one took the time to look around and actually notice there were other people in the world. A sigh came out of Naoya's mouth, being alone was a little bit boring, though he was used to it.
It was then, while examining who was around him that he noticed a girl, sitting on the bench that was next to his. Now she was like the only relieved person he had saw in the last 15 minutes. Slowly he standed up and walked towards the girl.
“oh that’s one nice drawing” he said in a soft voice to the girl

Naoya sat down next to the girl, she was younger than him, but somehow her words make her appear older. He examined the doodle the girl was doing, she seemed like one of the few people that eventually took some time from the world, or maybe, since she had a sketch pad and all, she was one of those who took too many time from the world. He knew artist were somehow weird, though interesting. Still maybe the girl wasn't weird, just a normal girl. Either way he liked people who draw, it was great to see someone create with it's own hands, to give form to a thought was no easy task.
"oh no, I'm not very good with my hands, and I'm not crazy either" he smiled at the girl, pointing to her drawing "I heard most artist are nuts" Naoya spoke really fast, trying to make his words catch up with his mind.

She couldn't help but laugh. Nuts, well that would certainly be interesting. She stopped her doodling and put her notepad away so that she could pay more attention to the guy.

"Ahh, sorry to disappoint but I'm not what you would call nuts. Probably the most interesting thing about me is that I'm English.". She giggled internally at the thought of units and fighters, Well, creating spells with words is more interesting but not so appropriate. She fiddled around with the bracelets hiding her name, for some reason, the name was making a pulsing sensation, she hadn't noticed it until now. Perhaps he's part of a unit. She looked directly at the guy and decided not to ponder that thought much longer.

Michelle felt a bit rude internally calling him "the guy" repeatedly and so she asked him sincerely " Erm, I don't mean to be rude but, what's your name? Mines Michelle, incase your wondering." Smiling at him, in a reassuring manner.

[Oh I was re-reading my last post, I hope it didn't seem like Michelle was hearing voices in her head, the people talking were just surrounding students etc.]

He was still wondering about crazy artist when he heard the girl talk. For him, who was totally japanese and had never gone out the country, foreign people were actually interesting.
"oh being from other country is interesting enough" he said while looking at the other people, for him being different was a good thing,a monochromatic reality was just too boring.
"Erm, I don't mean to be rude but, what's your name? Mines Michelle, incase your wondering"
He suddenly felt a little bad for not asking when he had spoken to her the first time. "I'm so sorry, I'm Naoya, I should have asked but i got distracted" he apologized to Michelle with a smile. It was his first day in this school and he was already talking to someone, his brother was sure to be proud of him. Then he noticed that the name engraved on his skin was a little bit itchy, he never felt anything around it but now of all times he felt it and he was not good at ignoring thins.
He lifted his hand and traced down the name that came down from the back of his neck, a frown formed in his face while his mind got lost in thoughts.

Though his mind was still on the strange feeling on his neck he tried to forget it and answer to Michelle's question.
"I'm new, I moved in recently" he said in a cheerful manner, coming to a new town was always exiting for him, besides this one was special, or at least that's what his brother had said. He glanced at the amount of people, it was bigger than the last time he had looked, maybe it was the time, it was almost the hour for classes to begin so it was natural that every space in the entrance got flooded with students.
He then notices there were many older people, many adults, maybe too much of them. He began to feel a little bad, suddenly surrounded by untrustworthy people. He breathed in deeply, he had forgotten that part of being new, getting used to the insane amount of adults everywhere.
"this is such a big school" Naoya's voice trembled a little, the disgust he was feeling, added to the strange feeling on his name were starting to annoy him "I'm guessing you're new too, it's good I got to meet someone before classes, that way i won't fell all weird among strangers"he shifted his position, lifting one knee to his chin and passing his arms around it "tell me Michelle, do you think it'll be fun to be at this school? that people here are good people?"

He couldn't help but feel better, he loved reassuring people, besides it really felt like Michelle was telling the truth, not that he doubted her, just that people tend to lie when it comes to giving advice or something. Although he was still feeling a little sick because the amount of people, he didn't felt as bad as before, as long as there was someone honest near he was ok.
"I can't promise that I'll be able to hit them for you, but I'm sure I can help in some way. Even if it is just to make you feel better."
Naoya laughed briefly, the picture of Michelle, being so small and cute, punching some bad bully was very funny. He even imagined himself being all helpless in a corner, that part was a little sad but still it was a great mental image.
"I wouldn't let you punch someone, but it is reassuring to know you would" he laughed softly "anyway of someone ever bully us i'll be sure to buy a doberman to protect us" he meant every word, though at the end he wasn't so sure about a doberman. On a second thought he would probably ask for a german shepherd and his brother would probably give him some cocker of other uber friendly dog. Naoya was about to communicate the thought to Michelle when the school bell went out. God it was terribly noisy.
"oh damn, time's over" he said sadly, thinking that now was going over to meet a bunch of strange people.

Michelle stood up and giggled at the doberman comment before saying, "It would seem so, now all that's left is to get lost in our attempts to try and find our classrooms. Well I'll see you around school no doubt." She liked that, it'd be nice to see a familiar face around. Feeling a lot better about today, she felt almost ready to meet the strangers of her class. She was almost excited about it.

Smiling reasuringly at Naoya she said to him, "Good luck, I'm sure you won't need it though. Have fun today." Michelle picked up her shoulder bag and chucked it over her head in one sweeping motion, she double checked that everything was in there. It was an annoying habbit of hers, forever double checking everything.

Everything was all there, course it was, she checked it before leaving. Looking around she could see everyone rushing by trying to get into the school. A thought passing by, they don't relax much do they.

Naoya stood up and grabed his backpack, it was quite light, he never carried to many things, a notebook and a pencil were more that enough. "thanks, I hope you have a great day" he waved towards Michelle. She was a very nice girl, he was sure she was going to do ok in school, at leats he was not going to need that doberman. Naoya glanced at the people that were passing by, it was going to be a good day, not the best but at least now he wasn't scared.
The only thing bothering him was the tickling in his neck, and a feeling that the school really wasn't the place he needed to be right now. He started walking towards the classroom, he was going to attendo to the first period and the, then he was going to get that strage feeling out of his body.

Michelle waved a slight good bye as she passed him, ready to enjoy the day. Her wrist stopped pulsing once she could no longer see Naoya, this made her almost sure he was part of a unit, she just hoped it would never mean they had to fight each other. She doubted they would ever let anything lead to that. She decided after school she'd go roller blading, she hadn't done it in a while.

Michelle actually enjoyed the day. She got on with her classmates, they were all exactly as she expected, some more childish than others. A girl named Hitomi sat next to her most of the time and was in most of her classes. Michelle enjoyed her company, she didn't talk to much either. After school Michelle walked alone to the skate park.
