Path to the Supermarket

As Michelle was walking, stuffing her cold hands into her pockets, she found some loose change. As she was on the path there, she decided she was going to go to the supermarket. She reflected on the conversation with her Mother. She was worried about her deeply, it wasn't like her Mum to still be doing Christmas presents so close to Christmas, even if it was the last one. She knew her mother was stressed, especially since they moved so close to Christmas but it wasn't like her to show it. Michelle decided not to ponder too much on this and think about the lolly she was about to get, she liked to stay positive. She would try to cheer her Mum up later.

Michelle carried on walking, her journey had felt like forever. The thought of her lollies was all she had to cheer her. Stopping a minute to look up at the sky she noticed a white flake falling down, it was there, all alone but so very beautiful because of it's solitude.

Opening her hands to grasp the snowdrop she once again noticed the mark on her wrist, it momentarily stunned her. She looked back at the snow flake taking in it's unique shape and pattern, disregarding any negative thoughts. "I'm going to make this a nice winter, I won't let anything spoil this" she told herself.

As the snowdrop melted she thrust her hands back into her deep pockets and began to walk again. She could now see the supermarket and was almost jumping at the thought of the warmth. Seeing the christmas decorations infront of the store made her eep aloud as the thought of christmas excited her again.

She came up to the door and took in all the glory of the simple store, all the people rushing around inside. This was the first time she had come, she felt it was a shame it was during night.
