Reachless Fighter: Kia Kazami Empty
PostSubject: Reachless Fighter: Kia Kazami   Reachless Fighter: Kia Kazami I_icon_minitimeSat Mar 27, 2010 9:47 pm

Name: Kia Kazami, formerly Kirin Wong

True name: Reachless

Position: Fighter

Partner: Kanoe Kiritachi (Raeii)

Age: 18, almost 19

Ethnicity: hald-Chinese. half-Japanese

Occupation: high school student (last year)

Appearance:
Kia stands at 6,1, with long curly brown hair (naturally black) and big child-like blue eyes. Although she's unnaturaly tall, she is actually a quite graceful girl. Training martial arts and dancing since she was a little child, she became agile and swift, and her long legs and slim figure completes the image. She likes wearing clothes that don’t get in the way too much, but have a femine feel to them. Blouses and shorts are usually the choice, and short coats and bots for colder days. The girl can’t see without glasses, but for a battle she takes them off and replaces with contacts, which are green and slightly change her eye’s color. That and her heartless attitude earned her a nickname of “green-eyed akuma”. Kia’s unit name is divided into two parts and written on her eyelids. When at school, she wears dark eye shadow to hide it. The only jewelry she wears is the bracelet given to her by her mother; she hardly ever takes it off, and it seems she’s really attached to it.

Personality:
Kia is the type of person who will listen to your problems and then say “And what’s about it?” with a bored look on her face. She’s down to earth and rather cold-hearted, and prefers being alone than in others’ company. She never laughs with people, but at them. Plus, she is usually reticent, and when she speaks, she does it in a rude manner. The girl isn’t too stubborn (with few exceptions), though, and rarely complains about anything, seeming to take things as they are. Being active and quite a workaholic, she hates to sit still and always tries to make the best of a day. It’s extremely hard to tire her. Kia’s hobby is drawing, but since she never seriously learned it, and due to her lack of free time, her works are rather simple and mostly uncolored sketches. She doesn’t like to draw other people or herself, with only exception being her Sacrifice. Her room is just filled with Kanoe’s portraits. When someone asks her why she likes to draw her so much, Kia would say “I’m trying to understand it better”. Surprisingly, not "her" but "it", so it can't be a reference to Kana herself. The one thing is clear, the girl seems to be the only person towards whom Kia actually acts nice, except her mother. They share something like older sister-younger sister relationship.

An old photo, taken shortly after Kia run away from the house for the second time. Still with black hair and wearing contacts. Also, rare moment of feeling alive ^^

Background:
Kia was born in the old and respected family of fighters, and was trained to become one ever since she learned how to stand and walk. The training included everything, from martial arts and dancing to improve the speed of her movements, response time and self-defense, to meditation and swimming to strengthen her mind and body. When little Kia once asked why she has to learn anything but spells, her grandfather responded with something along the lines of “Stupid girl! Fighter has to be durable as well, what if you were fighting alone and forced to take the damage? Also, what if you were attacked by humans* and killed? As a fighter, your life doesn’t belong to you. You have to treasure it, like you would borrowed book or weapon”. That day she stopped complaining, even when the daily trainings got her deathly tired. She stopped talking to her grandfather as well, and never stated if she agrees with him or not.
The part of her early past she absolutely hates to talk about is her relationship with Yuuko Wong, her mother. The woman was the only member of the family who wasn’t a part of unit or a blank, and hated the idea of spell battles. She kept insisting on delaying her daughter’s fighter education, at least to the day when her bond with the sacrifice appears (foregoing events took place before Kana was born). She also couldn’t bear the thought of Kia’s childhood being taken, and seeing her growing so rapidly, suspected that the girl is being feed growth hormones. When the elders and her husband refused to her, she tried to get Kia herself to oppose them, and in the end, ran away with her. Unfortunately, the plan failed, and runaways was stopped at the airport. Yuuko was suspected for having mental disorders and put in psychiatric hospital, and Kia’s education was continued as planned. The trainings got tougher, and so did punishments for being disobedient or “not trying hard enough”. It was the girl’s superiors goal to make her forget about her mother and turn her into perfect fighting weapon. Instead, they only made her hate them more and more, and caused more scars to appear on her body. The problem wasn’t exactly her disobedience, but the fact she seemed to be unaffected by the training. Her mind wasn’t changing. She was fulfilling the orders, and reciting the family’s slogans, but all with half-hearted attitude, and it was like she was saying “I’ll do it, but then you’ll get the f*ck off me, okay?”. At fifteen years of age, the family decided to send Kia off to the Seven Moons Academy in Japan, as they believed there wasn’t anything else they could teach her, and hoped she’ll finally find her sacrifice. Once again, she was on the airport, only a servant accompanying her. She couldn’t dream for a better opportunity. She killed the servant with a simple spell, got rid of the body and then contacted her mother’s family – Kazami household, making sure she’ll have a place to hide in for some time. Next steps were perfectly simple. She got on board alone, and after arriving to Japan, send a note about a “car accident” she supposedly died in to Ritsu and her family. The God must have been watching over her, as her rather unrealistic plan succeeded. Apparently, there really was a car accident near the airport on that day, and a girl with a very similar name died. As neither the Academy or Wong household cared much for a stubborn, “Reachless” girl without a sacrifice, they didn’t do any research. Kia was successfully adopted by her mother’s elder brother, and began a new life. She went to school and joined the art club, but still continued training martial arts and dancing, as she really liked it. She also started to look for her sacrifice on her own and found her… but that’s a completely different story.

Other:
- Being so untalkative and having problems expressing her emotions, Kia would often draw a quick picture as a response for a question, eventually “dance out” her feelings. Like she doesn't care about lots of the things out there, she doesn't care if someone finds it werid or not.

- Kia hates when someone mentions her height, and refuses to answer any questions about it, even such innocent ones as "Was there any Americans in your family?" She also opposed when her parents wanted to enlarge passages in the house.

- She used to sleepwalk when she was younger, but it deceased with age. She also has problems with falling asleep if it's too hot outside, and sometimes talks in her sleep.

- She sometimes says that her Sacrifice reminds her of someone, but refuses to dweel on the subject.

- She takes in every bad world addressed to her sacrifice and repays for it in a battle, getting even more cruel and merciless than she usually is. What is interesting that she doesn't adress to Kanoe by her name then, like she was seeing someone else.

- Her selling point are defense spells, though she likes the “attack is the best defense” strategy better. Kia has made up several spells, all containg the word “reach”.

- Kia's favourite pets are cats.

- If someone asked her for a explanation of the location of her name, she would say: "They say that eyes are reflection of your soul, right? As we are Reachless - the ones that cannot be reached - it's different with us. They (our eyes) aren't a reflection, but a blind screen. Not an entrance, but a brick wall blocking the way to our hearts and souls. Understand that?" And then go back to what she was doing before, not even waiting for a reply.
