A short walk through town (Closed and Dead)

A shiver ran down her spine as a gust of wind brushed up against her back, pushing her foward forcing her to plant her hands front of her skirt pressing it against her body to keep it from flying up. Still a bit chilly out, spring should be here soon. She thought to herself as a strain of hair flown loose and she quickly pulled it behind her ear.

Once the wind let up, Evangi eyes wondered to the building around her, she liked how snow and rain changed things around. Nothing looks the same, thought it wasnt snowing anymore it was slight rain and the snow and turned to a dirty mushy snow it still made things look different, look old and torn in some way. Maybe i should have brough an unbrella just in case. She looked up at the sky, the sky kept changing. Gray one moment and light next, she wasnt sure if it was gonna rain or not but would have felt better if she was prepared.

Evangi was heading deep into the town, where it was more busy and buzzing with people. She brough the back of her hand to her mouth to hide a yawn. She wanted a nice warm cup of coffee and she wanted to stop by a bookstore, just to see if she can find anything of interest.

She wrap her arms around her stomick and quicken her pace as another gust of wind pushed her forward. Her cheeks turning a slight red as the cold nip at her exposed skin and the rain drizzled off and on, or maybe it was just drops from the trees she passed under, but she couldnt help but jump slightly and shiver when a drop lands on her shoulders and lingered down her back.

The American yawned, obviously not the type who'd be called a "morning person," as she wandered somewhat aimlessly through the city, glancing with muted curiosity at the buildings she passed and the signs she couldn't read. Morrigan's baggy sweatshirt sucessfully hiding her gender, she flicked her ears against the rain, wishing she had brought an umbrella with her. Then again, she didn't really mind the weather. Maybe coming to Japan was a stupid idea, after all... She smiled ironically, flicking her iPod to the next song on the 'My Top Rated' playlist.

She had intended on finding a hang-out, but her wandering had so-far proven fruitless. She hadn't even seen any of the Kousei tenants this morning and idly began to wonder if it was perhaps too early for anyone to be out and about. But, no, there were people. She just didn't know any of them.

Maybe I should see if there's an internet cafe around here? I could always hang there... She laughed under her breath, drawing some strange looks from passersby. I'm such a nerd.

After a few minutes, the dark-haired woman recognized the uneasiness she had been feeling. She paused, glancing around, and spotted the other fighter. This could be...she's cold. Morrigan frowned, watching the woman shiver, then sighed and crossed the street, walking up to her calmly.

"You look cold." Her voice was soft and low, almost the type of voice you'd expect to hear from a male. Morrigan often played these games, to see who could see through her and know she was, in fact, a she. She didn't look at the other fighter, waking beside her quietly, but she smiled gently.

For a brief moment Evangi wasn't sure if the tingling sensation she felt on her back was from the rain or a a near by fighter. She didn't even have to search for the fighter [color:9772=dark blue]"You look cold" Was as she heard as someone popped up besided her, she let her arms dropped to her sides as her grey eyes glanced over at the person. A fighter, and a curious one it seems.

Evangi pulled another strain of hair from her eyes to behind her ear. "A little, the weather iffy sometimes, and it was to early for my mind comprehand the idea of possiblity of it turning bad." She brough the back of her hand once more to her mouth to cover a yawn. "Cuse me, the random rain showers arent helping me stay awake it seems." Her hand felt cold against her mouth and she realize it was colder out then she expected cause of the rain.

She glance over at him once more, He has such a pretty face for a boy, theses days its harder to tell i suppose.
Evangi couldnt help but let her glaze linger on the persons ears and briefly on their eyes. Oh to have one ears again, wouldnt that be a trip. She forcused her eyes back on the road, before they notice. Violet eyes, how interesting...

[That's okay. You made up for it by having Evangi mistake her for a guy~]

Morrigan chuckled softly. "I hear you...Forgot my umbrella, myself." Her eyes darted to the other fighter. "Normally I wouldn't introduce myself so soon, but I'm a bit lost." It wasn't that she cared. What she really wanted was to get this person out of the cold as soon as she could.

"My name is Ravyn DeLevain. I've just moved here from America. I can't really read the signs, so..." Her voice was tinged with embarassment, mostly because she really hated asking for help. "I was wondering if you could tell me where to find an internet cafe...or if they have Starbucks in Japan?"

She rubbed the back of her neck, which was starting to cramp after the long night she had spent at the computer. Morrigan knew the gesture could be misinterpretted, but, in this case, she didn't feel the need to explain, since the misconception would fit the context quite well.

[Hmm...a bit on the short side, but, then, Ravyn isn't very talkative around those she barely knows.]

[Yeah, i was really debating on weither or not to have Evangi notice shes really a she or assume shes a he. Evangi is good at reading emotions, but telling if someone a guy or girl well thats different. ]


Evangi was surprised by the quickness in introductions, and more so when he didnt state his true name. She figure there was no point beating around the bush, there wasn't anyone around so it wasnt like anyone was listening and even if they were they would think it was a game, or a cosplay she was speaking of.
"Evangi, Evangi Magdalene. Endless fighter" She kept her eyes focus ahead of her as she spoke.
"Um, yeah.. There is a starbucks not that far from here I think, I'm heading that direction so if you want I can make sure you get there. " She was curious about the guy, and wondered where his sacrfice was. "I wouldn't know if there is a net cafe around here, I dont stay in the busy part of the city much. You might find one thought, now adays all types of stores and shops pop up." Evangi went on with the small chitchat, no dwelling on the the quick introdution of her true name, as if it didn't really happen. She knew it did, it wasn't a big deal because he was one as well. Now if it was someone else, someone not from "their world" she might feel more odd about it.

[sorry mine is short, i just woke up. getting ready for work.]

Endless? Interesting name... It occurred to her that she was being rude by keeping her name to herself, but, if she had wanted to tell, why would she hide it behind black lipstick? So, instead of saying she was the Trusted fighter, she idly wondered what the implications of Evangi's name might be. What sort of spells would the Endless fighter use in battle? Not that it matters. Battles are only for those who have something to prove.

Morrigan smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Evangi. You're a lifesaver." She paused a moment, debating her next move. After an intense inner argument, she unzipped her hoodie, her skin-tight lavender tank peeking out from behind the gray sweater. "I wasn't joking, though. You look like you're freezing. It's making me feel cold just thinking about it."

She nearly burst out laughing when, ironically, the music she was listening to changed to "Cold" by Loveless. "I've never met a fighter who didn't spend every waking moment with her sacrifice..." She cast a sideways glance at her temporary companion, the question implied, though it remained unspoken. "Frankly, I'm a bit surprised."

[That's fine. I don't really mind short posts, as long as it's at least a paragraph. (I have to admit, I sometimes have trouble writing long posts myself.)]

She glance over at Ravyn and smiled slightly. "My Sacrfice is unavaible at the moment, i guess the best thing to say is she's grounded." she chuckled, still kinda surprise by the fact that Suki is so young, not like it was something new. Not all of the teams have the same ages some very young while others older.

"Its not that bad, its just the gust of wind that bothers me. Kinda catches me off gaur...d" she trailed off a another gust smcks against her back making her shiver slightly but smile as she turns to Ravyn. "But I'm fine." Evangi stiffens as a group of school kids comes from around the corner, loud and giggling with gossp, her eyes darted to th ground as they pass her, once behind them she looked back up focusing again on the road ahead.
"If your feeling more cold thinking about it, then why unzip your hoodie, doesnt that make worse?"

Morrigan chuckled again, taking the hoodie off and setting it over Evangi's shoulders, leaving her in her skinny jeans, combat boots and bare arms. "I'm weird. I like the cold, but I get that most people hate it." She arched an eyebrow, noticing the other fighter's response to the students. Strange reaction, that. Wonder what that was all about...

She watched the people they passed, and, after a moment, decided she might as well go ahead. "I'm Trusted." She forced herself not to flinch as she said the name, not wanting to show any sign of weakness, just in case she ended up fighting this one. "Should have said that earlier, but I get weird looks over it." That part was a lie. The looks she got came from the placement of her name and her attitude toward sacrifices. Even then, it wasn't the looks that got to her. More like the backstabbing and rumors.

Hmn...She probably wants to know why I'm alone, especially since I brought it up. The thought made her frown. She had never really wanted to have anything to do with the Trusted sacrifice, even though she should be doing everything in her power to find the person. She'll just have to wonder. I'm not going to talk about that.

[so i did a longer post and hit one of my hot keys and lost it LOL]

Evangi was a bit startled by the kind gester from the guy. She placed one hand on her shoulder to keep the hoodi from slipping and chuckled slightly. "You know you didnt have to, the cold may bother me sometimes but its the summer heat that kills me." She grumbled under her breath realizing summer isnt that far away and she would have to deal with the heat when not home.

"I wonder if people just give you a funny look because they are cuious if you live up to your name, if so you can make a young girl's bestfriend or atleast human diary." She chuckle and shook her head. "I'm sorry, its the first thing that came to mind." which was half true, but she was also wondering if she herself lived up to her own name and in what way. She shrugged it off, her hand still on her shoulder and smirked as she looked Ravyn over and back to the road. I wonder where her name is placed. Evangi pondered only a second on it, there were few things she was curious about. Normally she wouldnt push for answers but this was a unit, at anytime thy could start trouble and she would need to defend herself. So knowing more about a unit before hand is good right? Regardless she knew this person would be interesting as a fighter and just as person in general. "We're not that far now, just figure i throw that out there."

[Oh, I hate when that happens. ]

"I had to. Would've irritated me to no end if I didn't." Morrigan stretched her arms skyward, her back popping loudly enough to make her blush. That's what you get for sitting online for hours on end, Ravyn. Feeling a bit awkward now, she brushed part of her hair over her shoulder, threading her fingers through it; a nervous gesture, one of the few she didn't mind others noticing.

"...I live up to it." She sighed. "Others tend to disappoint in that area, though." She looked away, biting her tongue gently before she said something she would regret. Trust is better received than given. Giving someone your trust is giving them the power to destroy you. You know this, girl. And she did. She had learned the hard way that you could never give anyone else your trust, especially a friend. "However..." Here she was pushing her luck. "If your sacrifice ever orders you to fight me, I suggest you warn her not to trust me."

[Wow...Ravyn actually seems somewhat talkative. She doesn't usually give away little details like that.]

[well if evangi knew trust was a problem for her, that fact that she's open would honer her. ]

Evangi arched her eye brow at that last statement and shrugged. "I don't think she's the fighting type so dont worry about it to much. Also, for someone who's name is trusted and says they live up to it. You seem to be hiding some of your own secrets. Which I most say bravo... "she trailed off and stepped infront of Ravyn and smiled gently. She spoke again but at a more lower tone. "If you didnt taken off your hoodie when yor wearing a skin tight shirt and then play with your hair like that. I wouldnt have guessed i at first. I was thinking you have a pretty face for a boy, but of course you do...." She lean in a bit "Your not a boy." She stepped back beside her and started walking again slowly.

"You sure you don't want the hoodie back?" Evangi wasn't making her last comment a big deal, if the girl wanted to pretend to be a boy she was doing a hella good job and she wasn't trying to burst her bubble. its just something she got from readng her books. she loved puzzles, though people bother her, in her eye they are all living puzzles to be solved. The harder ones are more interesting and she has a feeling there is more to this girl then her blending gender look.

[ I hope you dont mind, just a few things you didn kinda made it obvious and if Evangi didnt notice she would have been very dense which she isnt.]

[Perfectly fine Ravyn was trying to see if there was going to be that "What? He's a she?" moment.]

Morrigan blinked, then burst out laughing. "I'll take my hoodie back when we get to Starbucks." She smiled mischeivously at Evangi. "Sorry if you think I was trying to trick you. It's a game for me. I like to test the observation skills of those around me by dressing like a boy. Other than the clothes, though, I'm always me."

She shrugged, still laughing inwardly at her small victory. "I'm not transgendered. I just don't care if people think I'm a boy. Sometimes, seeing their faces when they figure it out can be amusing all on its own..."

She continued walking, her mood slowly coming back to neutral. At length, she spoke again. "Just because I'm Trusted doesn't mean I trust."

"I never said you trust, I agree all it means is people trust you a lot your a trustworthy person, but giving someone your trust that is always a different story isnt it." She spaced out again, she held a small smile to her face but it wasnt from the trust comment more so because she got her to laugh.

"Would you like to join me for coffee?" The girl sparked her curiousty so she decided to offer since in truth they were going to the same place for the most part, just afterword Evangi was heading to another store and then most likely home. She tilted her head slightly and looked towards her. "It could be my treat as return favor for you lending me your hoodie til we get there, seeing how we're pretty much there." Evangi eyes glance forward thought she still face Ravyn, the shop was only a few buildings down now. "If not its fine, was just an offer." Evangi turned to face front again as they walked up to the shop, she held the door open and with a joking smile she says. "Ladies first."

[i will be leaving soon, maybe in another post or so. so sorry, i wont be back til 2am so either see you tonight or tomorrow k?]

Morrigan grinned again. "Hey, I've never known an American who turns down free coffee." When the other girl said "Ladies first," she forced herself to keep a straight face and curtsied. "Why thank you. You're such a gentleman, Evangi."

She winked and laughed, walking ahead of her new friend into the cafe. Huhn...I wonder if they have the same drinks as Stateside...probably not, but they're sure to have tea.

{Short post...probably because I'm gearing up for a big post elsewhere...}

[Ravyn has left STREETS and gone to CITY CENTER: Starbucks.]

Evangi had left the star bucks and was walking down the street once more, but heading deeper into town. It was still cold out and gave her a shiver. Pity, but atleast I'm not very cold, the coffee in my system should keep me going for the time being. She thought to herself, she pulled her phone out of her pocket and checked the time breifly before picking up the pace. Can't read outside somewhere, this weathe would ruin the poor book.

Things have calmed down a bit, though a lot of cars drove by, not many people were walking around now. Due to weather I would say. Evangi mood brighten again as she saw the sign in a distance for the place she was lookin for. "The Vault" It was an odd name, kinda made you feel like it was a lot of important stuff stuffed away in there. But book have important information sometimes correct? She thought as her eyes lingered on the sign, like a guiding light that lead her to her destination.

Kanoe walked slowly down the streets. She liked the sound of the rain falling, the sound of it hitting the ground and the umbrellas. It made her extremely calm and made her deaf to all the other things around her as she started to drift off into a daydream. "What if someone in my school actually had a true name?" she wondered. "We could battle..or something. What if I got sucked in an alternate universe and I could become the god? The rain is so comforting, sure reminds me of a bird or fish.." On and on Kanoe thought, until she was completely immersed in her daydream. She was like a robot, dodging people and objects with no reaction on her face..That is, until she hit a fire hydrant.

"Shi-" she swore. It was then that Kanoe realized that through her daydreaming in the rain, she was just wandering aimlessly around the streets, not at all close to her destination. Covering up her feeling of embarrassment, she acted like all had never happened, and hurried to Kia's house.

Evangi was startled and almost tripped over her own feet, hearing someone swore. She caugh herself and turnd to see a girl running down the street after hitting the fire hydrant. Now that isn't something you see everyday. She thought to herself, trying to hold back a laugh and instead just shook her head and smiled. People can be very entertaining sometimes. Her smile grew larger as she headed towards "The Vault" and pulled the door open.

Evangi rushed out the doors of the small bookstore and headed down the street towards her home. She looked up at the sky and smirked a little, feeling the sun's light kiss her cheeks and a slight breeze brush against her body. Its warmer today. She thought, and was happy she wasnt wearing a jacket.

She looked back down the street and quicken her step. She knew she had a bit of a long walk ahead of her. Her arms wrapped around the books she held close to her chest, instead of placing them in her bag. She held them tigntly as if they were teasure to her, a precious item.

Evangi looked down at her cellphone and decided that she would just head home. She yawned lightly and didnt really notice that she was still tired from the day before, and from saying out almost a 24hours one night. Really shouldnt be staying out so late, gonna get myself sick that way. She stumbled a bit when her phone began to vibrate in her pocket, she pulled it out quickly and her eyes widen in surprise. "Suki.. "She had receaved a messaged from Suki her sacrifice, she stuffed the phone back into her pocket and the books in her bag and started to run home. Might be something important, or she could just be saying hi. Either way Evangi wanted to be home rather then outside, she wanted to be someplace private just in case. Evangi didnt know how to react really, being that it was the first time Suki contacted her and it wasnt just by accedent that they bump into each other.

Evangi came to the small path that lead up the hill to her small cottage and began pulling herself up, grabbing on anything solid to give her a extra lift and strength to push forward. she yanked the key from her pocket as she came up on the small pourch and towards her front door, opening it and entering her warm little home.
