"Blank" (nameless) Fighter - Kiyo Rin

Name: Kiyoshi Rin

Nickname: His name is usually shortened to "Kiyo" by close friends and family members, but he goes by "Rin-kun/Rin-san" most of the time when he's around strangers or classmates.

True name and partner: Not lucky! He still hasn't managed to find his true name and his partner. But they both must be waiting for him somewhere ~

Age: 17, close to 18. It's rather easy to tell his age.

Occupation: A student at an upper secondary school; Kiyo is actually in the second (he should be in third, but he failed the exams) grade. He's aiming for a pharmaceutical school in the near future.

Appearance: Kiyo's rather slender and fragile; his body type markedly contrasts with his rough appearance. His messy honey-coloured hair always smells like cigarettes, which can be often seen in Kiyo's mouth (He's actually kind of heavily addicted to them). Through his hair a pair of light brown cat ears shows up, and his long cat tail is always comically abristle. His natural eye colour is brown, but his left one is milky-coloured; he's blind on the eye, so he often wears an eyepatch of some kind. Kiyo loves piercings; he's got a ridiculously high amount of them in both of his human ears and the cat-like ones (Many people think that he's wearing fake child ears at his age; but he's not), and also some minor tattoos could be found on his body, but they're not visible when he's wearing regular clothes. He doesn't wear a particular style of clothing, but his clothes are often ragged and dirty; he also favors spiky collars and wristbands.

Personality: Kiyo is loud, annoying, and tiresome; but most of the time he's simply impertinent towards the whole world. He is often really rude to the majority of people, which makes it hard for him to maintain good relationships with his teachers and other students - they consider him quite ill-tempered, while Kiyo just thinks he's being honest.
He often seems absent minded and has only a few friends; but with the ones he know the best he can be - besides being a loudmouth - really funny and nice, altough he can get angry in a minute over a little thing (but cools down in a second). Kiyo is overprotective of the people he loves so much that it's almost unhealthy (he gets jealous really fast!).
Not everybody knows it, but he suffers from chronical depression, so his mood usually swings rapidly and seldom stays stable for a longer period of time. He's chaotic and complicated; looks like he doesn't even know himself very well. Kiyo feels uncomfortable and awkward around unknown people, but on the other hand, he can't stand being lonely; that's quite hard and complicated to combine.

Likes: Fishhhhh and vegetables... potatoes love <3 Cigarettes, pet rats, cats, biology, chemistry. Tire swings and rolleycoasters. Spicy food. Spring and Autumn.
Dislikes: Fruit, especially bananas and raisins; eww! Chocolate and sweets in general (altough he might fall for a lollypop from time to time). Beef, mutton and pork. Winter and cold weather. Rain.

Background: Kiyo comes from a very wealthy family. He's the only child and a heavy pressure was laid on him since he was a small child; he had to always have the best grades, the best manners, the best skills, the best everything.
Being a fragile and gentle child trying to surpass his parents expectations, he soon ended up needing a help of a psychologist, shortly after running away from home at the age of 14. Kiyo met an older boy named Atsushi, a Sacrifice who introduced him to the world of Fighters and Sacrifices; they both strongly believed that Kiyo was meant to be Atsushi's Fighter, as they fell in love at the first sight. So he attended a school to become one of them for about two years (as an observer mostly, but every little bit counts), waiting for the day when the name finally appears. It did, but not on Kiyo; another boy was chosen to be Atsushi's partner.
Kiyo experienced a short abusive relationship with Atsu, but thankfully, he was wise enough to stop it in the beginning; he went through a phase connected with drugs and alcohol, but being unable to find work and running out of money, he had to return back home. He managed to get back at High School, mostly because his parents wished so (altough he failed a lot of exams, almost dropped and had to repeat a few years). Actually, Kiyo is trying hard to get his life together, stand on his own feet and hopefully move away from his parents. His depression is actually caused by the fact that Kiyo believed he was meant to be someone's Fighter - and now it doesn't seem like it, as he still isn't able to find his Sacrifice. It's hard for him to accept that he might not be one of them - but, who knows? Hopefully the right time will come one day!
